MVFF Club Monthly Meeting Announcement
When: Tuesday April 17, 2018
Where: 3 Bears Café, Winthrop
Time: 6:15 PM
The next meeting of the Methow Valley Fly Fishers Club will be at 3 Bears Café in Winthrop, Tuesday April 17, in the upstairs conference room, with a Club Social starting at 6:15 PM, followed by club business, Tips and Tactics, and a presentation by Ryan Fortier (WDFW District Biologist) on the “Outlook of Fishing Okanogan Lakes for 2018”. There will be a door prize drawing at the end of the meeting! Visitors are welcome.
Members are asked to please put $5.00 in the snack bucket when you pick up your name tag. Beer, wine, cider and soft drinks will be available for sale.
Those who have difficulty navigating the stairs may carefully drive over the front lawn and up to the second level patio deck using the second floor rear entry for easy entry.
On a business note, our annual election of MVFFC Officers and Board of Directors will be held during this meeting.
Reminder: if you have yet to pay your annual dues, please bring your checkbook to the meeting. Your membership fee covers the expense for members and spouse to our Spring BBQ at Silverline Resort, the end of the Summer BBQ also at Silverline Resort, the annual Christmas Party/Auction, Club expenses, and Club insurance.

Okeedokee K-root listeners, we should be back on the air today, 3pm or so....IF.......#1, I diagnosed the issue correctly, and #2 presuming we get up to the top of McClure.
We have a pretty good chance of getting there this time. Paul Brown w/ MV Communication District & I are going up w/ their Quad w/ tracks.

Wondering "Where's the ROOT?" Well, after some head scratching and 'in studio' diagnosing, we determined that there is most likely one of the 2 power modules kerput on the transmitter on top of Mt. McClure. We have a back up transmitter but a drive up there on Sunday was turned back by road conditions- needs a few more days to dry out, which looks like we will get. Since we are not having some community wide disaster going on, I decided not to be heroic about this one, i.e. snowshoe uphill 4 miles.
Because the quality of the broadcast was so, off and on - Bad to Worse, with only one power module working, I decided to cut the signal and stay home & prune my fruit trees for a couple days instead. I expect to head back up the Mtn. Friday or Saturday. Don ... See MoreSee Less
