Danbert Nobacon

Danbert Nobacon freak music legend, author, artist, and actor played with British punk rock band Chumbawamba for 22 years.

He continues to write and perform music playing live both solo and with local musicians and occasionally with Seattle band The Bad Things. He has released two CD’s since moving to the US; The Library Book of the World with Jon Langford’s Pine Valley Cosmonauts on Chicago’s Bloodshot Records (2007) and Woebegone with The Bad Things on his own Verbal Burlesque Records (2010). He  teaches songwriting. Since moving to Twisp in 2007 in addition to hosting The Mystery Motel radio show, he is an interviewer for methowtv.com; a theater actor at both The Merc and The Methow Valley Community Theater, and a film actor in the forthcoming (locally made ) movies An Evil Within (2013)  and Gold Creek (2014).  His first young adult novel 3 Dead Princes – An Anarchist Fairytale was published in 2010 and he currently writes for the New York blog magazine theweeklings.com

He lives up the Twisp River and is working on a new novel and writing songs for a new CD.
